Building the modules with LEGOs
Students had to use their digital 3-D LEGO model to build their actual module. Students had to use their charisma to bargain, borrow, and trade for LEGO pieces they needed. This is the entertainment module - can you find the dance floor?

Etching...
Students used their original flower sketch to etch over the paint, revealing the vibrant colors from their first layer.

Crayon etchings first layer completed
Students created a fantasy moon flower after their unit on plant biology. Here are some pictures of the bottom layer before the black paint, etching, and haiku.

Using LEGO 3-D software
Designers had to create a 3-D LEGO model of their module. This one was designed by me as a possible example for the bedroom and laundry module.

Halloween & moon myths
In preparation for transitioning into the Lunar Base project in the spring, students had to create a project connecting the moon to several myths. This diorama represents the most common of the moon myths: a werewolf howling at the moon.

Multiple intelligences
Once finishing the unit on MARS students explored their multiple intelligences and had to create a project using products related to their multiple intelligence to share their interests and career plans.

MARS
Students were tasked with creating a vision of MARS at our school. Students made a variety of projects to include dioramas (one shown below), posters, and videos (JSAA School News). Students chose to work individually, as partners, or in a group.
